For importers

Importing or distributing digital products from outside the EU? CRA assigns you direct responsibilities towards European supervisory authorities.

1

Has your supplier completed the CRA conformity assessment and does it hold complete technical documentation?

2

Is the product accompanied by mandatory instructions in the languages of the Member States where it is sold?

3

Is there a mechanism for reporting vulnerabilities and providing security updates throughout the declared support period?

If you cannot answer yes to all three questions, you risk distributing a non-compliant product. Importers placing products on the EU market without the CRA CE marking or required documentation may be held jointly liable with the manufacturer.
